The etymology of the word Reiki is – Rei which means “Ra’s or Re’s / God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life-force energy”. Ra and Re are Kemetic terms that refers to the Creator and Sustainer of life. Therefore, Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy stemming from the Creator / Sustainer of life”. Although the healing art form was preserved by Japanese culture, its roots can be traced back to ancient Kemet (Egypt).
Kemetic Reiki utilizes aspects of Ancient Kemetic Wisdom to help bring about positive balance and harmony to one’s entire being (mind,
body & soul). It focuses on the releasing of negative energy lodged within the astral body, inside of the energy centers and auric field. The positive healing energy is transferred from one energy being to another,
without requiring touch. Although, there are times when touching may occur if needed and agreed upon.
